A big *congratulations* to 35 First Nations people selected for our PowerMakers 2024 capacity building program, being held in Walyalup (Fremantle) from 4-8 November 2024.
With more than 100 applications received, we’ve been absolutely blown away by the incredible level of interest from mob across the country.
It’s inspiring to see so many people passionate about clean energy and determined to ensure our people are leading this transition.
With such a competitive pool this year, we prioritised applicants with specific experience in clean energy and those already working on projects in this space. The people selected show a passion for clean energy and a commitment to making a positive impact in our homes, communities and nations. We believe each of their unique perspectives and contributions will enrich our PowerMakers 2024 program.
We held a PowerMakers Induction Webinar on 14 October 2024 where we met everyone and discussed more about the curriculum which is designed to merge theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Our goal is to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to ensure that PowerMakers emerge as leaders in the clean energy transition, capable of successfully advancing clean energy projects and driving positive change in our communities.
We look forward to welcoming everyone to Walyalup (Fremantle) in November!
