Battery workforce training grants available

Batteries that store energy play an essential role in the clean energy transition. Training grants are now available to First Nations and other businesses involved in the battery value chain to ensure everyone is up to speed.

The Australian Government has engaged Powering Australia to deliver the Battery Workforce Skills and Training Program to support the development of a skilled workforce in the battery industry.

The training grants available assist in reducing the costs for businesses and organisations to train and upskill staff and establish a pipeline of skilled workers for the battery sector.

The grants are available through to the end of 2027 and can be for businesses already involved, or those looking to get into, the battery sector.

Applicants must put in an expression of interest (EOI) to receive financially supported training for team members.
