Larrakia Energy and Korean power company KOMIPO are planning to build a 300MW Solar Farm on Larrakia Country near Bladin Point in the Northern Territory.
Larrakia Energy is a Joint Venture initiative between Larrakia Development Corporation and Progressive Green Solutions. KOMIPO (Korea Midland Power) is part of the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), owned by the South Korean Government.
The solar farm will be Australia’s largest Aboriginal-owned solar farm, according to its media release.
Larrakia Energy executed an MOU with KOMIPO to advance the project to the next stage in November 2022.
It is scheduled to start in 2023 with customer power delivery commencing in 2024.
