Kara is a descendant of the Yiman and Gangulu peoples of central Queensland and is a Board Director of organisations in the superannuation, investments and energy sectors. She has worked in key strategic and leadership roles in the union movement and runs KTL Collective providing expert advice, guidance and analysis around campaigns, organisational goals, structures and aspirations and stakeholder engagement, to First Nations organisations, civil society and corporate organisations.
